Addressing Issues of Importance
The Teaching Academy develops specific projects to address issues of importance to teaching and learning at Washington State University.
Each year, the Academy assesses important teaching-related needs raised by students, faculty, and administrators. It selects those that require university-wide leadership and focus from faculty for resolution. Selected projects may span one or more years for completion.
Teaching Academy projects address goals of the Academy and generally fall under one of these areas ...
- Research Generation and Dissemination: Facilitating educational research and the dissemination of research findings
- Teaching Improvement: Providing models and training for enhanced teaching and learning
- Institutional Culture: Promoting incentives and definition of standards for excellence in teaching and learning
Projects are led by teams of Teaching Academy members, but they are also open to participation by others in the university community.
