Tools to Support Assessment and Improvement in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Teaching is, in its very essence, a scholarly activity. Achieving excellence in teaching-related activities requires the knowledge, dedication, and rigor associated with any scholarly endeavor. In an academic community, a scholarly approach to teaching is essential for achieving quality, intellectual integrity, and impact necessary to advance the institution, the profession, and the nation.
The President's Teaching Academy, in partnership with WSU's Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology, has examined the topic of the scholarship of teaching and learning. Information and tools (including rubrics) have been developed for the use of WSU faculty.
